Emergency Department

One of the busiest district general hospitals in the country, East Surrey Hospital, takes care of a population of about 800.000 with a  significant transit population (M25, M23, and Gatwick) daily. We see about 370 - 420 patients daily in our Emergency Department, which has also been keeping a Trauma Unit status since 2012.
